Here is the list of things I packed for my journey plus some advice and tricks I learned from the road.

- Bike stuff
- Helmet (used it only at the end of the trip; not really adding any safety feeling for me)
- Horn (loud horn for tracks and more even for dogs)
- Mirror (only used it in the countries where I rode with the cars)
- Lights (removable lights are good for using inside of the tent)
- Bike lock
- Rain cover (also served me as a raincover)
- Finn (bike mount from Austria)
- Sunglasses (my must have)
- Tools (allen keys, wrench, pliers, tweezers, patch kit, oil, spokes tool, tape, gloves, cleaning brush, zipties and Sugru)
- Spares (tubes, spokes, chain link, brake pads, brake cable)
- Camping
- Tent
- Groundsheet (to protect the tent from the damage and have more isolation for yourself)
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Hammock (totally a nice to have)
- Kitchen
- Clothes & Shoes
- Thermowear (underpants and a long sleeve shirt)
- Long sleeve shirt and top (best outfit to protect from sun and dust)
- Short sleeve T-Shirts
- Cycling shorts and pants (winter one was perfect with a layer of fleece; shorts almost didn’t get used)
- Indian style pants (turned out to be more comfortable than the cycling shorts)
- Hiking pants (also to serve as city pants)
- Jacket for cold weather
- Fleece for more layers in colder weather (also served as a pillow)
- Winter hat and gloves
- Baseball cap
- Cycling gloves (give necessary padding)
- Buff scarf
- Rainjacket and pants
- Clip/SPD shoes
- Sports shoes
- Shoe thermocovers (for winter)
- Flipflops
- Towel (microfiber is perfect for size and fast drying)
- Socks, underwear, and other obvious stuff
- Electronics
- Phone, charger & power banks
- Solar panel
- Hard drive
- GoPro & accessories
- iPod (didn’t listen to music as much as I thought)
- Headphones
- Medicines (i just used two tablets of paracetamol on my entire trip but still have to carry some emergency medicines)
- Some painkillers
- Stuff for the wounds and cuts
- Stuff for stomach
- Stuff for allergies
- Whatever you need just minimal as you are likely to find a pharmacy very soon
- Hygiene stuff
- Whatever you need, just minimal
- Talc or baby powder (recommended for sensitive skin)
- Lip balm (recommended for windy and hot weather)

- Pocket knife
- Water filter
- Stand-up peeing equipment (gift from very thoughtful friends)
- Rope for clothes (very cool one with clothespins)
- Bike handbrake (smart trick that I learned from JP)
- Copy of the passport and other important documents
it’s a little too many for a list, but anything to get the full biking experience, right ?
You can surely do less and you can even do more. I think it all depends on the length and specifics of your route and your lifestyle.
