I am Marianna. I was born in the beautiful mountainous Armenia loving nature and adventure from when I can remember myself. A while ago life has brought me to the flattest country called Netherlands, or more colloquially known as Lowlands. It had it’s own beauty – not too diverse though – but more importantly it had the most inspiring bicycle network I have ever seen. Little by little, many years after I first arrived, the idea was born – why not to cycle from the Netherlands to Armenia?
That’s how this site began – as a way to share my experience thinking, planning, preparing and finally making a bicycle journey from Amsterdam to Armenia. It has since became a place where I share all my cycle touring adventures – in Armenia and outside of it.
It’s not meant to become a best in class bike touring advice; there are many websites out there written by people who are a lot more experienced than me. I personally took most of my guidance from Tom Allen’s website. This site is rather a lasting memory of all the amazing adventures I have had which will hopefully serve as a source of information and inspiration for others.
